The spotlight is set to shine once again on the remarkable talents within the care sector as registrations for the highly anticipated Care Sector’s Got Talent are now officially open!
Organised by Championing Social Care, Care Sector’s Got Talent is a unique talent show celebrating the diverse skills within the care sector.
Chair of Care Sector’s Got Talent and Managing Director of Hallmark Luxury Care Homes, Aneurin Brown said: “We’re so pleased to once again be hosting Care Sector’s Got Talent. This is a fabulous event to really bring the sector together as one and show that we are full of talented individuals.
“In previous years, we’ve seen some real stars take centre stage, and their extraordinary acts have not only showcased their individual talents but also highlighted the incredible richness of skills within the care sector.”
CSGT encourages participants from all corners of the care sector – residents, care home workers, care sector suppliers, or performers in care homes – to step into the spotlight and showcase their unique talents.
The final event is scheduled to take place on April 16th, with more details to be revealed soon. The event will be presented by none other than Care of Chair England and CEO of Majesticare, Angela Boxall. Last year’s event witnessed eight spectacular finalists, and the live stream was watched by 1,780 people. Singing duo Charlene Reeves and Michael Gallagher from Hill View Care Home in Glasgow emerged as the winners, subsequently performing at various care sector events and award ceremonies.
To enter, participants need to prepare a 4-minute video showcasing their talent and passion for the care sector. The registration process involves completing the online form and uploading the video using the provided link. Registration closes on Friday, March 1st, at Midday.
Care Sector’s Got Talent serves as a unique platform for individuals within the care sector to display their diverse talents, whether through singing, dancing, comedy, musical performances, or unconventional acts. The event also aims to support the mental health of those in the care sector, providing a memorable and positive experience.
Sarabdeep Singh, the 2022 CSGT winner, emphasised the significance of the show for mental well-being, stating, “From childhood at the age of nine, I used to perform; it’s always been my hobby and it makes me happy.”
