Best in Jobs provides a fantastic insight into why caring is one of the most rewarding and satisfying jobs you can do. A huge thank you to Best in Jobs for sponsoring the Care Sector’s Ball this year!
Caring is the most rewarding and satisfying job. We can give you many reasons as to why caring is the most enjoyable part of care work.
1.) You’re making a difference to others.
2.) Helping residents by caring for those who need assistance.
3.) Building personal relationships with your residents.
4.) Job satisfaction, knowing that you are the one making the difference in someone’s life.
5.) Support – not only do you have a support network, but you are a support to the residents and their family.
6.) Variety of the role – no two days are ever the same
7.) Training – you get the necessary training to be able to provide the correct care for your resident.
8.) Flexible hours, you can work the hours around other commitments.
9.) Celebrations, you enjoy every milestone, birthdays, parties with all residents and your colleagues.
10.) Finally other job benefits – paid holidays, pension, training, subsidised benefits.
Best in Jobs mission is to support care homes, by providing quality care workers. Best in Jobs specialise in healthcare workers, such as nurses, carers, senior carers as well as hospitality staff to support care homes and the hotel industry. Our team of experts assist organisations in recruiting the correct, efficient, professional and fully trained staff members to join their team.
With a team of experts around the globe, we have a wide range bank of care workers fully trained and experienced ready to start their career in the UK.
How do we select our candidates?
Our team ensures that they have looked into each candidate. They have been fully screened with safety checks and references before being introduced to potential employers. We aim to provide a full service to our clients from selecting the candidates through to travelling to the UKto bringing the care workers over, this includes in assisting them in booking flights, getting the correct visas and also in some cases we have even sourced accommodation for the candidate locally to their workplace.
We asked a few carers we have placed in jobs a couple of questions about their job role, this is what they had to say: –
Why should anyone consider a role in care?
” Once you start your career in care, it really does open up doors for you. People I work with are doing nursing qualifications; one colleague has also signed up for a midwifery course. It is really fulfilling, you have the ability to change someone’s daily life for the better, putting a smile on their face too. I go home most days satisfied that I have helped my residents and knowing I made a difference to them.”
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
” The home I work in is a lovely place to be. Most of the time it’s a very happy bubbly place but sometimes everybody has an off day at work, and some of the residents have off days too. But they appreciate everything we do for them. It’s when you see them smile you see knowing that makes everything worthwhile. If you can make a difference to someone’s life, you should do it.”
What qualities do you think it takes to be a care worker?
‘You treat everyone with respect and dignity, be reliable, understand how the resident is feeling, be a good listener and communicate well with the residents.”
For us at Best in Jobs it really is about making a difference in being able to support care homes with the staff that they are in need of. We can’t thank the care sector enough for the work that each care worker puts into their job, and the challenges they faced during COVID 19 and how they still kept the morale of the residents up.
